Nectar apple juice to be withdrawn from market: Health Ministry

One-hundred and forty-nine tons and 919 kilos of Nectar applie juice have been removed from the market for not conforming with the standards of a campaign by the Preventive Medicine Department, announced the Health and Population Ministry on Sunday.

The results of analyses of 93 samples from the Nectar factory products showed that apple juice did not meet the department's standard requirements, according to a ministry statement.

The ministry instructed its departments in different governorates to withdraw the juice from the market, the statement mentioned.

The ministry recommended that citizens avoid buying anonymous or unlabeled food products and to ensure the validity of expiration dates.
