New computer system disrupts flight schedule at Cairo airport

The activation of a new computer system for checking passports at Cairo International Airport has caused 30-45 minute delays to flights and created crowds passengers in the airport’s halls, security sources told Al-Masry Al-Youm Tuesday.

The source, however, defended the new system, stressing that it speeds up travel procedures. He said delays were expected upon the activation of the new system, predicting that operations will return to normal within 48 hours.
