North Sinai reports no new coronavirus cases or deaths on Monday

The Egyptian Health Ministry’s Directorate in North Sinai reported no new coronavirus infections or deaths on Monday.

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Tarek Shawka, said that 13 cases were recorded as “recovered”, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2008 cases since the onset of the pandemic.

Shawka added that throughout the pandemic, the area has reported 334 positive cases and 117 deaths.

Six cases are currently in the isolation department of Al-Arish General Hospital, and 44 cases are in home isolation.

Shawka called on residents to take all precautionary and preventive measures, including wearing masks, maintaining an appropriate distance from others, and sanitizing hands regularly, in order to limit the spread of the virus.
