An official reception of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi was held on Wednesday 29/5/2024 upon his arrival at the presidential palace in Beijing.
Guards saluted President Sisi and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, and the national anthems of both countries were played.
The two leaders will hold important talks to discuss means of enhancing bilateral ties and opening new vistas of cooperation in various domains.
This coincides with the 10th anniversary of elevating the Egyptian-Chinese ties to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership.
The talks will focus on a host of regional and international issues of mutual concern, topped by the war in Gaza and means of restoring regional peace.
During the visit, President Sisi will meet with heads of a number of heavyweight Chinese companies in various domains to review means of encouraging more investments in Egypt, especially in light of the state’s drive to promote mechanisms for localizing industries and transferring technology through cooperation with the private sector and foreign direct investments.
