OTMT appoints new deputy CEO

Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Holding declared on Sunday the appointment of Tamer al-Mahdy as the deputy CEO and chief operating officer to be responsible for the company's operations including the company’s recently-added activities like energy, transportation, logistic services and telecommunications infrastructure.
 
In a press release, OTMT said that Mahdi enjoys 22-year experience in field of telecommunications industry, during which he worked on drawing and carrying out strategies like opening new markets and building Greenfield operations.
 
In his speech, Mahdi said, “I would like to thank the Board of Directors of OTMT for their trust, and I look forward to working with the company's team to reach new heights, especially in the areas newly added to the company's activities.”
 
Naguib Sawiris, executive chairman and chief executive officer, said, “I would like to welcome Tamer to the team. I’m confident that his experience will add significant value to the company and contribute to the process of expansion that we will be pursuing during the coming period, and I wish him well in his new position.”
