Rains on northern coasts, rough waves in the Red Sea for Monday

 

Meteorologists expect moderate weather to prevail on Monday across Egypt.

Hot temperatures are predicted for southern Upper Egypt during the daylight hours, growing colder by night.

Temperatures expected for the following cities are 27C in Alexandria, 29C in Cairo, 32C in Hurghada, 31C in Sharm al-Sheikh, 32C in Qena, 33C in Luxor, and 34C in Aswan.

Mist will affect visibility across the country’s northern parts in the morning. Low-level clouds are expected in most parts of Egypt, accompanied by light to moderate rainfall on northern coasts.

Winds are northwestern and moderate, active on South Sinai, Red Sea and the Gulf of Suez, possibly disrupting maritime navigation there.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate and range between 1 to 1.5 meters in height, with northeastern surface winds, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough and range between 2 to 2.5 meters in height, with northwestern surface winds.
