Real Madrid manager praises performance of Liverpool’s Mo Salah

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane on Friday praised the performance of Egypt’s football star and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah on the sidelines of the press conference of the match against Gremio in the final of the Club World Cup.

“Salah is a great player. He showed that at Roma, now at Liverpool. He’s still young and is improving all the time. I don’t talk much about other players, but he is a player I rate a lot,” Zidane said.

Zidane is in Abu Dhabi in UAE preparing for the Club World Cup final against Gremio on Saturday evening.

Reports have pointed to the interest of Real Madrid to include the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah after his great efforts with his current team Liverpool since the beginning of this season.

Spanish sports magazine Don Balón reported on its website on Tuesday that Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid, is seeking to strengthen the team during the next winter transfer window by trying to bring Salah to the Los Blancos.

Salah joined Liverpool last summer and is now topping the Premier League scoring charts with 13 goals. Liverpool’s star was crowned the Premier League Player of the Month for November.

On top of the Premier League award, it has been an excellent month for Salah, who secured his name as the BBC’s African Footballer of the Year on Monday, and Liverpool’s November Player of the Month Award.
