Red Sea ports partly reopened after weather abated

Major General Falah Hassan, head of the Red Sea Ports Authority, announced the re-opening of four ports Thursday morning after weather conditions improved.

Navigation traffic resumed at Tawfeeq, al-Adabeya, Ain al-Sokhna and al-Zayteyat ports, which were among several ports closed Wednesday due to poor conditions.

Hassan said in a press statement that Sharm al-Sheikh port was still closed to traffic due to severe winds. Damietta and Alexandria ports remain closed as well.
