Red Sea sees 142% hike in tourist inflow by sea

Red Sea ports have seen a 142 percent increase in incoming tourists arriving to the region by sea compared to the previous year, the Transport Ministry has said.
 
Heshan Abu Senna, head of the Red Sea Ports Authority, said in a report by the ministry that the province’s ports of Sharm el-Sheikh, Safaga, Nuweiba, Hurghada and Ain Sokhna received 160.777 tourists during the last tourist season.
