REPS rescues 12 people from sinking boat, after breaks down in Hurghada

The Rescue and Environmental Protection Society (REPS) saved 12 Egyptians from drowning on Saturday after their boat broke down in the Red Sea, north of Hurghada city.

President of REPS, Hassan al-Tayeb, said that the passengers on the boat were on a fishing trip, and the boat suddenly broke down. REPS received a Mayday from the boat.

REPS sent a rescue launch boat to the area, coordinated with rescue operations from the governorate, and oil companies working in the sea to help in the rescue operation.
