Arrested Russian sailors in Egypt released, to return home

The Seafarers’ Union of Russia announced the release of the captain of the Soy ship and his chief assistant in Egypt.

They will return to Russia within days, the Tass Russian News Agency, reported.

The Soy ship and its crew of five Russians and three Bulgarians were arrested in Egypt on November 4.

Egyptian customs personnel found Tramadol: a band drug in the country in containers on board the ship. 

Earlier, the three other Russian crew members returned by air to Moscow.
