Safaga-Diba shipping line stopped due to bad weather

Saudi Arabia’s maritime authorities on Saturday announced that passenger and truck traffic on the shipping line between Safaga and Diba has stopped due to bad weather and high waves.

In Egypt, the Red Sea Port Authority spokesperson Malak Youssef said that the navigation movement on the Safaga–Diba line stopped due to the closure of the port of Diba in Saudi Arabia until the improvement of weather conditions in order to maintain the safety and regularity of navigation.

It was decided on Saturday to postpone the sailing of some ships that were scheduled to leave the port of Diba to Safaga and vice versa.

Bad weather hit several governorates in Egypt on Friday but improved on Saturday morning. Several sea ports were closed on Friday on the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea.
