The prisons department of the Interior Ministry Friday pardoned 952 prisoners, who had applied for pardon in prisons nationwide, for the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
The Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) made the decision to issue the pardons, MENA reported.
A security committee affiliated with the prisons department had earlier been formed to examine the files of inmates and determine who deserved to be pardoned.
