Sisi to sponsor medical tourism conference in Sharm el-Sheikh next month

A press conference will be held on March 2 to announce the details and sessions of the medical tourism conference, which will be held in South Sinai under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi between March 23-25, said Atef Abdel-Latif, a member of the South Sinai and Marsa Alam Investors Association.

As one of the founders, Abdel Latif said the target of this conference is to highlight Egypt’s medical tourism abilities in order to obtain its fair share of this kind of tourism, given that it has huge abilities to provide jobs.

South Sinai, according to Abdel Latif, has many places to establish medical tourism resorts like Saint Catherine where medicinal herbs grow that cannot be found elsewhere, in addition to Sinai valleys, al-Tor, Hammam Faroun and others.

South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda urged other governors of provinces with similar natural resources that could be utilised in medical tourism to attend the Sharm el-Sheikh conference. Several experts and doctors from other countries as well as media channels will attend.
