Six possible destinations for Mohamed Salah after leaving Liverpool

Liverpool FC superstar Mohamed Salah on Tuesday announced his departure from the Reds at the end of the current season, concluding a remarkable nine-year career.

In a video message, Salah bid farewell to Liverpool’s fans, emphasizing that he will never forget the happy moments and unforgettable achievements he had.

Salah has not yet decided on his next destination, leaving many fans to wonder about what he will choose. His agent, Ramy Abbas, issued a warning against speculating about the player’s future following his announcement of leaving Liverpool FC.

Abbas wrote on his X account: “We don’t know where Mohamed will play next season. That also means that nobody knows. Beware of attention seekers and those who are trying to grab attention.”

Here are six possible destinations for Salah:

Al-Ittihad (Saudi Arabia)

Moving to the Saudi league is considered the most likely destination for Salah, given the interest from several clubs in his services.

Al-Ittihad is the strongest possibility due to their recent strong desire to acquire the player, as well as the club’s desire to appease their fans after Karim Benzema’s departure in January.

Al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia)

Al-Hilal is also keen to secure Salah’s services and has expressed significant interest in signing the Egyptian star on numerous occasions.

Major League Soccer (MLS)

Salah has also drawn interest from top MLS clubs, which have recently been actively recruiting big-name stars, including Lionel Messi, Rodrigo De Paul, Luis Suárez, Thomas Müller, and Son Heung-min.

Serie A

Salah might also prefer to remain in Europe. If he doesn’t stay in the Premier League due to his connection with Liverpool and its fans, he could move to another league, such as Serie A.

Salah has two previous stints in Serie A with Roma and Fiorentina. He therefore might be keen to return to the Italian top flight, especially given the links to Juventus, now managed by his former coach Luciano Spalletti.

Turkish League

The Turkish league could also be a likely destination for Salah, especially since he recently received offers to move to Turkey and Galatasaray expressed interest.

The Turkish league has attracted many prominent stars in recent years, which might tempt Salah to consider the move.

French League

Paris Saint-Germain has expressed interest in signing Salah on several previous occasions, and the Parisian club’s officials may make a move for him during the upcoming transfer window.
