Spotlight on GEM: CBE gov. says GEM inauguration ‘moment of pride for every Egyptian’

CAIRO, Oct 31 (MENA) – Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Hassan Abdalla said the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) is a moment of pride for every Egyptian as it shows that Egypt is capable of achieving development in various fields, despite the current unprecedented challenges faced by the whole world.

This grand edifice stands as a powerful testament to challenge and creativity, with every corner of the Museum telling a story of determination and persistence demonstrated by Egyptian minds and hands that proved impossible has no place in the nation’s vocabulary, said the CBE governor.

“The opening of the GEM is the culmination of years of tireless work and meticulous planning and a shining message to the world that Egypt is not only the cradle of civilizations but also a nation that continues to shape its present with the hands of its devoted sons and daughters,” he added.

According to the CBE governor, this monumental achievement will boost the national economy, stimulate tourism, attract more investments, and open new horizons for growth and prosperity.

“The magnificent edifice will remain a symbol of pride and belonging, as well as a beacon lighting the path of hope for every Egyptian who believes that the nation which taught the world the meaning of civilization is still capable of making history anew, through its faithful citizens who turn dreams into reality,” Abdalla concluded.
