Suzanne Mubarak hospital renamed after revolution

The Suzanne Mubarak Specialized Hospital will be renamed the Red Crescent Specialized Hospital, following the massive protests that led to the ouster of President Hosni Mubarak, the hospital's board of directors has decided.

Mohamed Debes, the hospital's director, said the renaming is a gesture of solidarity with the revolution. The hospital is part of the Red Crescent Society which was chaired by the former First Lady Suzanne Muabrak.

Debes said steps have already been taken to change the name, adding that other suggestions had been considered, such as "The 25 January Revolution Hospital."

The hospital has specializes in 28 areas serving women and children.
