Temperatures to increase across Egypt, remaining cold at night

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts a slight rise in temperatures, with warm weather during the day in the north, growing hot in the south.

Cold weather will continue prevailing at night and in the early morning.

Weather maps indicate wind activity in parts of Greater Cairo, Nile Delta, North Coast, Suez Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt.

These winds may stir up sand and dust, especially in open areas.

Cairo is expected to reach 25C during the day, approaching 30C in the south, creating conditions reminiscent of August during the day, with very cold nights.

The Mediterranean Sea will be moderate to rough, with waves reaching 1.5 to 2.5 meters and southwesterly surface winds, while the Red Sea will be moderate.

Expected temperatures for Saturday:

  • Matrouh: 24C
  • Alexandria and Cairo: 25C
  • Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada: 26C
  • Luxor and Aswan: 29C
