Three captive union leaders freed in Sinai

Security services in Sinai aided the release of three out of four workers union leaders who were kidnapped last week on the Cairo-Oyoun Moussa highway while on their way to participate in a Sharm al-Sheikh conference.

The personnel were on their way to Sharm al-Sheikh to participate in a conference for tourism workers in order to urge them to support the constitution.

The released leaders include the president of the General Union of Workers in Tourism, Mamdouh Riad and the secretary general of the union Mamdouh al-Mohmadi.

The freed captives were transferred to the military intelligence office in South Sinai.
