Travis Scott to host his ‘Utopia’ concert in Italy

US rapper Travis Scott is now preparing to host his ‘Utopia’ concert in the ancient tourist area of Circus Maximus in Rome, Italy, on August 7, after his original plans to host the concert at Egypt’s Giza pyramids were canceled.

Authorities in Egypt revoked the concert’s license following controversy and safety concerns.

The company organizing Scott’s concert in Egypt had officially announced the cancellation of the concert and apologized to the audience who booked the tickets.

The Egyptian Musicians Syndciate explained the reasons behind halting Scott’s concert, which was scheduled for last Friday in front of the pyramids in Giza, after the organizing company officially announced the cancellation.

The official spokesperson for the syndicate Mohamed Abdullah, said in a press release that: “The decision of the union to cancel Travis Scott’s concert is a right to the syndicate because it is responsible for this matter.”

“The union is strong, and we feared for our fans that any error might occur at the concert. The union must stand by the Egyptian people and the audience of the ceremony and the union must express its opinion with all courage.”
