A homemade bomb exploded on Thursday afternoon in the vicinity of Gharbiya governorate's local building, injuring two security personnel.
A bomb squad headed to the scene and a security cordon was imposed.
A state of panic among the workers and citizens prevailed. Police combed the area and efforts were made to arrest the suspects.
The injured were transferred to a local hospital and a claim was filed with the incident for the prosecution to start investigations.
