The Interior Ministry announced on Thursday that police have arrested two men on charges of killing an army officer, Captain Ashraf Youssef, while they were trying to escape from a checkpoint in Port Said.
The ministry says that al-Sayed Garbou, 25, and Mahmoud Shalaby, 33, have confessed to the crime.
Captain Youssef was shot in the chest with an automatic weapon.
