The US has issued security warnings through its diplomatic missions in several Middle Eastern countries, including its embassy in Israel, on Saturday.
Yedioth Ahronoth reported that these warnings follow escalating threats from Houthi forces in Yemen, as well as intelligence regarding Iranian attempts to target high-ranking US officials in the region.
The warnings, which were also issued for Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and several other nations, urge US citizens to exercise the utmost caution.
They also advise individuals to be prepared for potential flight cancellations or the closure of airspace, as well as the possibility of a rapid escalation in the intensity of the conflict.
US planning to resume operations against Iran
American news reports indicated that the administration of US President Donald Trump was reviewing plans to resume military operations against Iran.
Axios, citing American officials, reported that Trump held a meeting on Thursday with his top national security advisors to discuss the Iran dossier.
The US President asserted that Iran would never possess a nuclear weapon, hinting that American decisions regarding how to deal with the country were imminent.
The report further quoted a US official as saying that US Central Command (CENTCOM) is finalizing preparations for the potential resumption of large-scale combat operations in Iran.
