Jordanian artist Aziz Maraka turned Cairo’s Adly Mansour metro station into a spontaneous theater, surprising commuters with a live concert in his latest initiative to bring music closer to people outside of traditional venues.
During the concert, Maraka performed a selection of his most popular songs, which the audience sang along to.
Maraka continues to establish a different relationship with his audience through his initiatives, as he is one of the few Arab artists who are keen to go out of traditional platforms and theaters and get closer to people in the street and public places.
He presents music as part of daily life and not just restricted to the stage.
The Metro concert came after the great success of the song “Bouquet Ward”, which also had a music video filmed in a number of areas of Cairo.
During the clip, Maraka was shown distributing roses to passersby amongst other positive acts, with his unique performance being well-received online.
