Video: Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities translates royal mummy promotional film into 14 languages

Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has translated a promotional film for the highly-lauded transfer of 22 mummies from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization on Saturday into 14 different languages, with the aim of encouraging further international interest in the event.

These languages include English, French, German, Japanese, Italian, Chinese, Spanish and Swedish, Dutch and others.

Once translating was finalized, the ministry sent the film to Egyptian embassies globally and to foreign embassies within Egypt in order to promote tourism.

The film was also uploaded online to websites such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

The ministry also purchased advertising spaces on various social media sites to promote the event, especially towards vital tourism markets for Egypt such as Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Belarus, Ukraine, England,  Japan, the US, Italy, France and Germany.

Several Egyptian actors also participated in the promotional film as narrators, including Hussein Fahmy, Asser Yassin, and Amina Khalil who went over the history of the 22 royal mummies, the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.
