Weather expected to get worse on Thursday

The bad weather is expected to get worse on Thursday, according to meteorologists.

Heavy rains and thunder will continue to fall on northern coasts; Cairo and the Delta; north of Upper Egypt, Halayeb, central and northern Sinai.

Floods are expected in Rafah and Arish cities, to be accompanied with declining temperature.

Highs of 16 degrees centigrade will be reached in Cairo and 17 degrees in Alexandria.

Winds will get stronger in most regions, which will increase the feeling of cool weather and disturb maritime navigation in the Mediterranean.

Northwesterly winds will make the height of Mediterranean waves reach between 4.5 to 5 meters, while height of Red Sea waves is expected to reach between 2.5 to 3 meters.

Highs of 24 degrees will be reached in Qena, 25 degrees in Luxor and 28 degrees in Aswan.
