Weather expected to improve Thursday

Meteorologists expect an improvement in Egypt’s weather on Thursday, with wind abating in most of the country’s regions.

Cold weather is expected across Egypt during daylight hours on Thursday, while it will be moderate in southern Upper Egypt, growing cold by night in all parts of the country.

Frost is also expected to accumulate on plants in central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt in the early hours of the morning.

Mist will affect visibility across the country’s northern parts until northern Upper Egypt in the morning.

Low and medium-level clouds are expected to increase in the northern parts of the country, accompanied by rainfall on the northeastern coast.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are 16C in Alexandria, 16C in Cairo, 17C in Qena, 18C in Luxor, and 19C in Aswan.

Winds are expected to be northwesterly and moderate, active in the Red Sea and the eastern Mediterranean, possibly disrupting maritime navigation there.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be light to moderate, ranging between 1 and 1.5 meters in height.

Waves in the Red Sea and eastern Mediterranean will be moderate to turbulent and range between 2 and 2.5 meters in height. Surface winds will be northwesterly on both seas.
