The weather forecast for Monday

Meteorologists are predicting a continuation of the week's hot weather on Monday, with temperatures reaching 36 degrees centigrade in Cairo.
 
Cooler but humid weather is expected along the north coast, with highs of 32 degrees centigrade for Alexandria and some light cloud cover along the coast.
 
Humidity levels will drop moving down the country, with intense dry heat forecast for the south. Highs of 41 degrees Celsius will be felt in Qena, 42 in Luxor and 43 in Aswan.
 
A morning mist could mean low visibility at the start of the day along the north coast, and further inland over the delta, Cairo and towns and cities along the Suez Canal.
 
The prevailing wind will be northwesterly and moderately strong, bringing with it some dust and sand. It will be felt more strongly on the Gulf of Suez and the Red Sea.
 
Waves on the Mediterranean are expected to average between two to 2.5 meters high, while the Red Sea will see waves of between 2.5 and three meters, accompanied by a northwesterly surface.
