Weather forecast for Tuesday

Egypt's cold spell is expected to continue through Tuesday, with low temperatures prevailing to the north.

Low- and medium-level clouds, accompanied by rains, will be seen along the northeastern coasts. Visibility will be reduced due to mist and fod in the Delta, Cairo and Suez canal governorates.

Highs of 16 degrees centigrade will be felt in Cairo and Alexandria.

Northeasterly winds will blow on the Gulf of Suez and Red Sea, which will disturb maritime navigation.

The height of Mediterranean waves will reach between one to 1.5 meters, with northwesternly surface wind; whereas the height of Red Sea waves will reach between 2.5 to three meters, also with northeasternly wind.

Warmer weather is predicted in the south during the daytime, changing to be extremely cold overnight.

Highs of 19 degrees will be felt in Qena, 20 degrees in Luxor and 22 degrees in Aswan.
