Meteorologists forecast hot weather on northern coasts Wednesday, with extremely hot temperatures across the rest of Egypt.
Highs of 41C are expected in Cairo and 36C in Alexandria.
In Upper Egypt, highs of 45C will be felt in Qena and Luxor and 44C in Aswan.
Low- and medium-level clouds will appear above north coasts to be accompanied by rains in the west. Moderate northeastern winds will prevail in the south as well as on the Red Sea and Gulf of Suez, disturbing maritime navigation there.
Waves in the Mediterranean will reach between 1.5-2 meters in height, with northeastern winds prevailing, and 2-2.5 meters in the Red Sea with northwesterlies prevailing.
