Meteorologists predict moderate weather on Wednesday in Cairo and Lower Egypt, and hotter weather in the north of Upper Egypt, with a maximum of 31 degrees centigrade in the capital.
Very hot weather is predicted in the south of Upper Egypt. Qena should hit 36C, while Luxor will be around 36C and Aswan around 38C.
The north of Egypt, meanwhile, will be cooler, with Alexandria at 28C, while the Sinai resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh will be a much warmer 33C.
Medium and low-level clouds are expected along the north coast.
The wind will be mostly northwesterly and moderate in strength. It will be active in the west, Sinai, the north of Upper Egypt, the Red Sea, and the Gulf of Suez, possibly disrupting maritime navigation.
Waves on the Mediterranean and Red sea are expected to average between 2 and 2.5 meters high. A northwesterly surface wind is expected on both seas.
