Following the intense heatwaves of August, attention has shifted to the weather outlook for September, with many wondering whether further extreme heat is on the horizon.
According to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA), weather conditions remain stable across the country.
Daytime temperatures in Cairo are averaging around 35C, though active winds are bringing cooler evening breezes and offering noticeable relief at night.
Meteorologists do not anticipate a return to August’s extreme temperatures. However, high humidity levels could make temperatures feel roughly two degrees warmer than actual recordings.
Dense morning fog remains the primary weather factor to watch throughout September.
Fog formation is expected along agricultural routes, highways, and areas near bodies of water, which may significantly reduce horizontal visibility.
The EMA has urged drivers to exercise caution on the roads.
