Woman hospitalized over suspected coronavirus infection

The 60-year-old recently returned from an Umra pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia, one of her relatives said.

MERS, publicly known as the coronavirus, originated in Saudi Arabia. The kingdom said last month that deaths due to the respiratory virus stood at 400 since June 2012.

Egypt has had suspected disease carriers but has yet to record any deaths.
