Daily Mail: Limestone for the Great Pyramid would cost US$776 million today

The British Daily Mail website has published an infographic estimating current costs of seven iconic landmarks.
 
The Great Pyramid of Giza, which took approximately 30 years to construct, came on top of the list at just under US$1 billion, as the limestone itself would cost US$776 million.
 
The world’s other famous landmarks included: London's Big Ben (US$220,000, £145,000), New York's Statue of Liberty ($1.2 million, £780,000), Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro ($1.4 million, £950,000), Italy’s Leaning Tower of Pisa ($4 million, £2.6million), Paris’ Eiffel Tower ($31million, £20 million), Rome's Colosseum ($380 million, £250 million) and Egypt's Pyramids ($776 million, £500 million).
