A Molotov cocktail exploded inside the Shohadaa metro station on Tuesday afternoon, said an unidentified security source.
Explosives experts were called to the scene in order to examine the situation.
The explosion caused horror among passengers in Cairo's metro, which reaches its peak in terms of number of passengers in the afternoon hours.
