Sisi says he hasn’t formed presidential team yet

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said he hasn’t formed his presidential team yet, adding that he is still looking for experienced candidates.

On the 50th anniversary of opening the Administrative Control Authority, Sisi said he seeks forming an efficient presidential team. “I’ll bear criticism until I reach my goal,” he added indicating that “If a president has an efficient presidential team, the results will be excellent.”

“Nepotism and absence of justice are behind the spread of corruption in public posts,” Sisi said. “Selecting the efficient for public posts is the first method to fight corruption.”

“Corruption is everywhere, but our economic circumstances and education level made this phenomenon bigger in Egypt than in any other country,” he added.

He explained that he had never mediated for anyone since he was a senior officer, saying “Justice is a real part in fighting corruption.”

Sisi came to office in June after winning elections against Hamdeen Sabbahi.
