Alexandria, Dekheila straits reopened after weather improves

Alexandria harbor authorities decided to reopen the Alexandria and Dekheila straits Saturday after weather conditions improved.

Major General Adel Yassin Hammad, head of the harbor authority, said the two straits were closed for two days due to high winds, amid fears that the ships might be blown into each other or one of the platforms.

The straits were reopened Saturday so that ships would be able to offload their cargo.
