Five arrested in three pro-Brotherhood marches in Alexandria

Major General Amin Ezz Eddin, Alexandria security chief, said security forces dispersed three marches by the Muslim Brotherhood on Wednesday. Five protesters were arrested.

The marches were staged in Borg al-Arab, Al-Raml and Montazah, on the occasion of dispersing the Rabaa and Nahda sit-ins last August. Protesters were chanting slogans against military and police and also allegedly blocked traffic.

Police said those arrested allegedly possessed fireworks and flyers inciting against police and the military.
