Jama’a al-Islamiya’s Construction and Development Party has demanded that the president remove the Cabinet, accusing the Muslim Brotherhood of “hijacking the revolution and denying the people its profits.”
The party’s Sharqiya office, in a statement released Monday, demanded that President Mohamed Morsy address the nation and reveal cases of corruption that have been uncovered since he took office, as well as pledge to fight further corruption.
The party called for the formation of a "revolutionary" government outside the control of the Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party, saying Prime Minister Hesham Qandil’s Cabinet is “ignorant of how to handle crises.”
The party also condemned administrative negligence at health institutions, which, it said, became apparent in the train-bus crash that killed more than 50 schoolchildren Saturday. According to the party, the accident revealed the lack of readiness and care at health institutions.
