Major General Mamdouh Shahin, member of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, has said that former President Hosni Mubarak would go back to Tora Prison if his health improved.

In a phone call with Wael al-Ibrashy of Dream TV, Shahin said he did not visit Mubarak in the hospital. “This requires permission,” he said.

Shahin also said the SCAF does not interfere with the will of the people. "We must respect the decisions of the Presidential Elections Commission and the results of the voting,” he said.

He denied that the supplement to the Constitutional Declaration gives no power to the president. “The president will get all his powers except the power of legislation because this goes to Parliament, and we cannot mix authorities,” he explained.
