Police breakup 3 Muslim Brotherhood marches in Monufiya

Police forces broke up three marches by Muslim Brotherhood supporters in the Berket al-Sabe', Tala and Ashmun localities, Monufiya on Friday.

Protesters raised banners against President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and others that read " Where are bread and freedom?", referring to the January 25 revolution slogan "Bread, freedom and social justice".

Monufiya security director Mohamed Masoud said in a statement on Friday that security forces were on maximum alert to secure public and private facilities and face riots.

The Muslim Brotherhood marches were organized a few days ahead of the fifth anniversary of the January 25 revolution.
