Prosecution detains 120 Brotherhood supporters over 6th October clashes in Cairo neighborhoods

Azbakeya and Hadayeq al-Qobba Prosecutions on Tuesday ordered the detention of 120 suspects for four days pending investigations into clashes that broke out in Ramses Square and Hadayeq al-Qobba between Muslim Brotherhood supporters  and pro-army groups during the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of the 6th October War.
 
Azbakeya Prosecution ordered the detention of 108 people and charged them with illegal assembly and assault on police forces. It also charged them with joining a terrorist organisation and undermining public peace.
 
The suspects meanwhile denied the charges.
 
Hadayeq al-Qobba Prosecution detained another 12 people on charges of rioting and damaging Hadayeq al-Qobba metro station.
