Three killed in Sinai missile attack

Mourners have joined a funeral for three people killed in a missile attack in Sinai on Friday, state-run media reported Saturday.

Residents of Arish in North Sinai demanded punishment for the perpetrators of the attack, after three missiles landed on a residential home Friday.
 
A security source said the three missiles were launched from higher ground in al-Rayesa, east of Arish.
 
The source claimed the missiles were smuggled from the Gaza Strip for use in Sinai.
 
An officer and two soldiers were wounded Saturday in attacks on state facilities in Arish, the capital of Egypt's North Sinai governorate.
 
A lieutenant was injured after Rayesa checkpoint came under fire from unknown gunmen.
 
Two soldiers were injured in attacks on al-Karamy checkpoint, south-east of Arish, and Baghdad checkpoint in central Sinai.
 
The Rafah border crossing with the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip was meanwhile re-opened for four hours Saturday, to allow humanitarian cases and pilgrims to pass.
