Bani Yas, an Emirati premiere league football team, has officially announced signing Egyptian striker Mohamed Zidan, ending his long Bundesliga career which included Borussia Dortmund, Mainz, Werder Bremen, and Hamburg.

The Emirati club made the announcement late Monday on its Twitter page, Reuters reported.

The club did not reveal the value or duration of the contract, but UAE media outlets said Zidan signed for two years following three days of negotiations, Reuters added.

Zidan, who began his football career in Denmark, contributed to Egypt's first team's seizure of the African Cup in 2008 and 2010, and was a member of its 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup squad.
