Saad Adel Saad, the main suspect in the killing of UN Consultant Nermeen Khalil, escaped from Giza Court Wednesday, which was reviewing another case against him.

Major General Ahmed Salem al-Naghy, the Giza security chief, was notified that Saad escaped during a court session for robbery charges, and called on security forces to exert all efforts to apprehend him.

Saad was accused of killing 41-year-old Khalil in February. Saad allegedly ordered Khalil out of her car as she was driving in Mohandiseen, and shot her when she refused. Saad confessed during interrogation that he was part of a gang that steals cars.
