19 Egyptian laborers deported from Jordan

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry declared that the Egyptian Embassy in Amman would deport 19 Egyptian laborers arrested in Jordan while attempting to cross into Syria.

Ambassador Mohamed Abdel-Hakam, the assistant foreign minister for consular affairs, immigration, expatriates and refugees, said the embassy has successfully finished deportation procedures.

He stressed the importance of respecting the laws of countries that host Egyptians, saying expatriate laborers could otherwise be subjected to fines and imprisonment.
