Security forces in Beheira arrested eight members of the National Association for Change (NAC) two days ago for distributing leaflets and a statement listing ElBaradei’s seven demands for political and constitutional reform.
The activists arrested belonged to the Ghad Party, NAC and Kefaya and will be questioned by the Office of the Public Prosecutor.
Founder of the Ghad Party Ayman Nour visited the Damanhour police station yesterday in a gesture of support for the arrested activists. He discusses their legal position with them, he said.
In other news, Nour spent three hours in Zagazig on Thursday as part of his door knocking campaign. He distributed 5000 copies of his presidential election platform in six different villages, he said.
