A US official informed Al Jazeera that there were no reported casualties among American forces in Qatar following the Iranian missile attack.
The official added that they were aware of reports concerning an Iranian missile attack on Qatar.
Meanwhile, Iranian state television has announced the commencement of “Basha’er al-Fath” (Tidings of Victory) operations against the Al Udeid Airbase in Qatar and Al-Asad Airbase in Iraq.
Iranian media outlets have also reported the initiation of a retaliatory strike against the United States by targeting the Al Udeid base in Qatar and in Iraq.
Axios further reported that Iran launched six missiles at American bases in Qatar, while Agence France-Presse (AFP) and Reuters stated that explosions were heard in Doha.
