The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects temperatures to continue drop across the country on Monday, with the minimum temperature in Saint Catherine reaching 18C during the day and 25C in Greater Cairo.
A member of the EMA’s media center, Manar Ghanem, said that temperatures during these days are lower than or at normal rates for this time of year.
The reason for the improved weather is the extension of a low-pressure system in the upper atmosphere, which will continue until the end of this week, she explained.
This will help low and medium clouds appear, preventing temperatures from rising, with ranges between 34C and 35C in Greater Cairo.
Ghanem noted that high humidity increases the sensation of higher temperatures, by up to two to three degrees.
Monday’s Weather Forecast
Monday’s weather will be hot and humid during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the North Coast, and very hot and humid in South Sinai and the south of the country.

- Alexandria: 32C
- Cairo: 35C
- Sharm el-Sheikh: 37C
