FM, Lebanese counterpart discuss outcomes of Sharm El Sheikh Peace Summit

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty held a phone call on Tuesday, October 14, 2025,with Lebanese Foreign and Expatriates Minister Youssef Rajji to discuss bilateral cooperation and the outcomes of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit.

In statements, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Tamim Khallaf said that the two ministers reviewed ties between Egypt and Lebanon, reaffirming their commitment to continued coordination and consultation to strengthen cooperation in various fields.

They stressed the importance of building on the deep-rooted ties that serve the interests of both peoples and promote regional security and stability.

They also discussed the latest developments related to the Palestinian issue.

The Lebanese Foreign Minister praised the outcomes of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, describing the agreements reached as an important milestone toward ending the conflict in Gaza.

He also lauded President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s leadership in achieving this historic achievement and steering Arab and international efforts toward a lasting agreement that stops bloodshed and ensures the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
